These terms cover this website and the Reclaim app. Using either means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version. Reclaim is early software that pauses apps you pick, based on a rule you set. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. You can override it or delete it at any moment.
What Reclaim is
Reclaim reads how long you slept from Apple Health and, if you fell short of a rule you wrote yourself, pauses apps you chose until a time you chose. It is a commitment tool. It enforces your own decision against your later self.
What Reclaim is not
Reclaim is not a medical device, and nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not assess your health. It compares one number to a goal you typed in.
If you are worried about your sleep, or you are persistently sleeping very little, please speak to a doctor. Reclaim is built to step out of the way in that situation rather than keep enforcing, but it is not equipped to notice everything and it is not a substitute for care.
You stay in control
- Every block Reclaim puts up can be lifted immediately, from the block screen itself.
- You choose which apps are affected. Reclaim never blocks anything you did not select.
- You can clear every rule, or delete the app, whenever you want.
Because you can always override it, Reclaim cannot guarantee that any app stays paused, and you should not rely on it as though it could.
Early software
Reclaim is pre release and is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It depends on Apple Health data and Apple's Screen Time system, both of which can be unavailable, delayed or inaccurate for reasons outside our control. Sleep tracking by consumer wearables is an estimate, not a measurement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, MK Builds is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Reclaim, including anything you missed while apps were paused. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Your responsibilities
- Do not pause apps you may need urgently. Reclaim deliberately keeps Phone, Messages, Maps and similar essentials off the table, but you know your life better than we do.
- Use Reclaim only on a device you own or are allowed to configure.
- Do not use Reclaim to restrict somebody else's phone without their knowledge and agreement.
The waitlist
Giving us your email means you are asking to be told once when the TestFlight build opens. You can ask to be removed at any time and we will remove you. How that address is stored is set out in the privacy policy.
Ownership
Reclaim, its name, its design and its code belong to MK Builds. Being on the waitlist or using a test build does not transfer any of that to you.
